This hay is raised for Alpacas. We try to keep CP% between 11 and 15%. It is basically weed free because we only put a herbicide down once a year and we are very aware of the 2 4 D issues.
Our hay is fertilized and tested.
When we started our hay fields we killed off all the weeds and grasses. Then we plowed the fields to get ready for seeding. We put down Texas Tough and it has come along nicely. Every 5 years we have reseeded. We added a little more Texas Giant to punch up the CP%.
We have both square and round bales. Our hay sells out very quickly.
